The Most of Buena Park
  • Buena Park is located in Southern California, about 40 minutes by car from Downtown Los Angeles and 50 minutes from Hollywood.  Buena Park is 10 minutes from the original Disneyland park in Anaheim and about 30 minutes from Orange County’s beautiful Pacific Ocean Beaches.
  • Buena Park is home to four of Orange County’s six major tourist attractions—Knott’s Berry Farm, Knott’s Soak City, Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament, and Pirate’s Dinner Adventure.
  • Comfortable hotels in a variety of price ranges are located within walking distance to these four attractions.
Overview of Buena Park
Buena Park is most known for its tourism-related businesses, and the origin was a berry stand owned and operated by Walter Knott in the 1920’s.  He and his friend, Rudolph Boysen, experimented with horticulture and grafted together vines of loganberry, blackberry, and raspberry to develop a new kind of berry—the boysenberry.  The stand was very popular but didn’t make much money, so Walter’s wife Cordelia decided to make fried chicken lunches to sell.  Today Knott’s Berry Farm is no longer a berry farm but one of the United States’ foremost theme parks.  It is known worldwide as the home of Snoopy and the Peanuts gang from the comic strip that has appeared in newspapers since the 1950’s.

Buena Park is also a business and industrial center due to its central location at  the junction of Los Angeles and Orange Counties.  It is the home of Nutrilite, manufacturer of premium-quality vitamins and nutritional supplements sold not in stores, but by networks of individuals.  These networks can be found in almost every country in the world.
